Raymond Coyle – Chairman – Largo Foods

  • Raymond Coyle, founder and owner, is Chairman of Largo Foods.

Originally from a farming background, Raymond started growing potatoes in the late ‘70s and identified an opening for a small company manufacturing potato crisps. Largo Foods was started in 1984 with 9 people, 6 of whom are still with the company today. The business steadily grew until Hunky Dorys crisps were introduced in 1994. Today, Hunky Dorys accounts for retail sales of nearly €18 million and is the number one crinkle cut crisp in Ireland.

In 2006 after the successful acquisition of the Tayto and King brands from C&C plc, Largo Foods became the leading snack-food manufacturer in Ireland.
